🎭 Year 11 Drama Exam 🎭 An incredibly powerful and thought-provoking performance from our Year 11 Drama students on Friday. As part of their course requirements, students created and performed their own original short play entitled 'It Is Our Time', exploring the start of COVID-19 and its impact on children’s mental health. Their work showed remarkable creativity, sensitivity, and maturity in tackling such an important and personal topic. Through their performances, they highlighted the challenges many young people faced, while also promoting awareness, empathy, and resilience. We are very proud of the courage and honesty they brought to the stage. A huge well done to all involved – your voices matter, and your storytelling was truly impactful. 🌟 #DramaEducation #StudentVoice #MentalHealthAwareness #Year11

Yesterday, our Year 7 Computer Science class got creative with flowcharts by heading to Old McGregor's Farm! 🌾 Students mapped out algorithms using farm scenarios, breaking each task into clear, logical steps. This hands-on approach helped them understand sequencing, decision-making, and problem-solving in a fun and relatable way. One unexpected helper appeared… George the goat 🐐😄 who was very keen to eat the students’ work! Despite the distraction, everyone did a fantastic job breaking problems down into clear steps and decisions. Safe to say: next time, we’ll be adding “protect work from goats” into our flowcharts! 😂💻 #ComputerScience #Flowcharts #LearningByDoing #OldMcGregorsFarm

Netball Match Report – KTC vs Ravensbourne 🏐🤾♀️ Our Year 7 team and a combined Year 8 & 9 mixed team both played against Ravensbourne this week in two competitive netball fixtures. Although both teams came away with losses, the effort, teamwork and determination shown by all players were extremely encouraging. The Year 7 team worked tirelessly throughout the match, demonstrating some excellent passing and good movement around the court. Despite creating several promising attacking opportunities, we were unlucky not to convert more chances into goals. The players supported each other well and continued to work hard right until the final whistle. Our combined Year 8 & 9 team also put in a strong performance. They moved the ball well through the thirds and showed great teamwork and communication. Like the Year 7 team, they created some positive attacking moments but just couldn’t quite find the final finish. There are lots of positives to take away from both fixtures, particularly the teamwork, effort and improving passing combinations. We look forward to building on these performances in our upcoming fixtures. #year7 #year8 #year9 #netball #KTCsports

🌱 Our first SEN Intervention Lesson on the School Farm! 🐓🥕 Today we had a fantastic start to our SEN intervention sessions that will be taking place on the school farm. Spending time with the animals helps students build confidence, practise communication, and learn about how we care for the animals on the farm. There were lots of smiles, curiosity, and gentle interactions with the animals. Outdoor learning experiences like this provide calm, engaging environments where students can develop important life skills while connecting with nature. We’re looking forward to many more farm sessions ahead! 🌱🐾 #SchoolFarm #OutdoorLearning #SENSupport #OldMcGregorsFarm #HandsOnLearning
