We fundamentally believe that all KTC students should be equipped with the mathematical core knowledge and skills required to enable them to progress in life after school.

We strive to develop a curiosity for mathematics through our passion for the subject and by providing access to mathematics that is both challenging and relevant to everyday life, with an emphasis on problem solving.

We employ teaching for mastery techniques to foster factual fluency, develop mathematical thinking and enable deeper conceptual understanding of mathematics.

Our KS3 curriculum is designed to build on existing KS2 knowledge, identify gaps and cement key knowledge building blocks to enable all students a successful transition into KS4.

In KS4 we provide a core mathematics curriculum, both Foundation and Higher tier. For students with a high proficiency who may wish to continue with the subject at A-level and beyond we offer a Further Mathematics programme and for those who find the core subject a challenge we run a Mathematics Entry Level awards programme in parallel to the GCSE.
