Letter re End of Term Sept 2025

Equipment

We have purchased Planners for all students, which will become an essential part of their daily equipment. Students' equipment will be checked during Line-Ups each morning to ensure they are fully prepared. Should a planner be lost, a replacement can be purchased from reception for a nominal fee of £5. Students are also required to bring a fully equipped pencil case with them every day (to be classroom ready), including pens (black, blue, and red), pencils, a ruler, sharpener, and calculator. They will also need to have
a reading book, and most importantly, it will be essential for all students to carry their planners at all times. This will form part of our Line Up checks.

Uniform

Our Uniform Swap Shop has been a significant and much-appreciated asset, widely utilised by our families. We warmly invite families to exchange outgrown uniform items for larger sizes at no cost, subject to availability. While the College has previously facilitated uniform loans to support the early stages of the policy enforcement, we now ask parents to purchase all required uniform items over the summer. The College will, of course, continue to provide loan uniform on an exceptional basis for forgotten items. We have made a few minor, yet important, updates to our Uniform Policy. The complete policy is always available on our website, but the key changes are:

  • Hair colours and accessories: Hair colour and braided hairstyles must a natural colour. Hair beads are not permitted. Hair accessories should be simple, discreet, and appropriate for a professional learning environment, avoiding any colours, styles, or sizes that are visually distracting.
  • Boots: No boots above the ankle.
  • Socks: Must be black.

Timings of the School Day

From September, we are adjusting the timings of the school day. Students will now need to be at Line Ups by 8:45am. This change has been made to better support students who rely on public transport, ensuring a smoother start to their day. Students may enter through the school gate from 8:20am. A breakfast service will be offered in the Canteen, available to students on free school meals or for individual purchase. Please see below the new daily schedule:

Safeguarding During Summer While the summer holidays are undoubtedly a time of enjoyment for most, we recognise that some students may still require support. With this in mind, we have a dedicated safeguarding email: A member of our safeguarding team will be monitoring this throughout the summer. Please do not hesitate to use this if you require support or have any safeguarding concerns during the holidays. Please know that your child's well-being remains our top priority.
